Portraiture – I love my kids and so I wanted to capture a really good photograph of one of them. We were hiking in the Smoky Mountain National Park and I caught this picture of my youngest daughter. She is the easiest going of all of our kids and I think this captures that…messy face and all.<\/p>\n

Nature – As we were hiking through the Smoky Mountain National Park, I was taking hundreds of photos and this one just stood out to me. I like the composition of it, the beauty of the green moss and leaves, I just liked it. <\/p>\n

Narrative – We visited a place called Rainforest Adventures in Pigeon Forge. There were all kinds of exotic animals there, but I really found the caiman really intriguing. I had to grab my wife’s lens off her camera because all I had on my camera was up to 150MM. But with her lens, I was able to get the close shot of his eye that I wanted. I think it tells a ‘story’ of just the beauty and danger of this animal. <\/p>\n

Urban – <\/p>\n
Still Life – Again, I took this one while hiking through the Smoky Mountain National Park. We hiked to a waterfall and I thought I would use the long exposure technique to capture it. I took many different angles and compositions, but I really liked this one, although it doesn’t show too much of the waterfall. <\/p>\n
